Russian Tea Recipe

I love the spicy hot tea that some people call Russian Tea, but I don’t like recipes that include using Tang as one of the ingredients. Here’s a delicious recipe that uses real fruit juices instead of artificial powder stuff.

Russian Tea

1 quart boiling water                      1  6 oz. can frozen lemonade

4 regular tea bags                            1  6 oz. can frozen orange juice

1  cinnamon stick                              1  6 oz. can pineapple juice

1 Tb whole cloves                            ¾ cups sugar

2 quarts water

Steep the tea bags, cinnamon stick, and cloves in one quart hot water for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, combine two quarts of water, the lemonade, orange juice, pineapple juice, and sugar in a crock pot. Strain the tea mixture into the crock pot and simmer on low  for a few hours.
